Financial Accounting Manager

Job Purpose:
To ensure the preparation, compilation, analysis and distribution of all financial statements, Disclosures, month end closing and IFRSs implementation. Prepare reports of financial performance vis-à-vis budgets and provides appropriate analysis and follow up.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Develop periodical financial information reports to keep the finance management informed about the banking units performance.
2. Prepare, analyze and distribute the monthly Statutory financial information report
3. Provide recommendations for improvements and modifications to the MIS reports and production process where appropriate.
4. Manage monthly financial closing of the Bank General Ledger
5. Respond to, and address queries from, internal MIS unit recipients.
6. Respond to Rating Agency information requests and preparation of presentations for senior management to present in defense of external ratings.
7. Manage preparation of Board level reports for KSA-CFO presentation to the Board Audit Committee and Board Meetings.
8. Manage the preparation of the preliminary results for GIB-KSA
9. Manage the consolidation of GIB – KSA and GIB Capital process.
10. Monitor the financial performance against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon
11. Update accounting policies and procedures based on new SAMA guidelines, changes in IFRS
12. Demonstrate to be subject matter expert on IFRS
13. Manage the quarterly financial reporting process and the preparation the quarterly statutory financial statements.
14. Manage the annual financial reporting process and the preparation the annual statutory financial statements.
15. Review financial performance reports by comparing actual with previous year results and budgeted results including analyzing the variances
16. Manage the quarterly and year end audit processes and financial statement preparation with External Auditors.
17. Provide an interface with the external auditors to assist with the clearance of the quarterly and annual financial statements.
18. Organise and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy
19. Pursue any other activities or ad-hoc analyses as directed by the KSA-Head of Finance.

 Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Qualifications:

 University degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline

Professional Certifications: 

CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA

Experience:

3 – 8  years’ experience at in accounting function within a financial institution, or a similar period within an accounting firm.

Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of Excel and VBA
• Strong numerical, analytical skills
• Good communication skills
