Senior Unix Administrator

Job Purpose 

UNIX and oracle M7 admin handling the administration & troubleshooting of M7 super cluster with Solaris Operating system, REDHAT Linux and EMC storages. Handling the installations, configurations & release deployments of banking applications.

 Key Accountabilities

1. Day to day UNIX/LINUX administration and support including Installation, patching, upgradation and maintenance of OS.
2. Administration of oracle M7 supper cluster also Exadata.
3. Going extra mile and supporting 24*7 oncall incident handling.
4. Deployment, configuration and maintenance of Servers Solaris10, 11.
5. Configuration and maintenance of RHEL7, RHEL 8 and RHEL9 servers.
6. Managing Solaris LDOMs and Zones running on Oracle hardware.
7. Oracle M7 Super cluster administration.
8. Administration of ZFSSA, IB-Switches, Platinum Gateway, Exadata cells and Oracle SVA.
9. Administration & troubleshooting on VMs deployed on RHEL, Cent-OS.
10. Package and configuration management using Satellite server.
11. Configuration and managing network services on UNIX servers.
12. Package and patch management.
13. Configuring security baseline as per GIB standards.
14. Performance monitoring and OS level log monitoring.
15. Hardware support for Oracle M7and Dell MX.
16. Configuring storage replication through RECOVERPOINT Appliance and managing the data replication from Production to DR and DR failover /failback.
17. Performance monitoring and troubleshooting using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
18. Hardware delivery and mounting RACK
19. Hardware asset tracking
20. Hardware inventory

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Computer Engineering or computer science

Professional Certifications:

SCSA-1 : Sun certified Solaris administrator               

1Z0580  : Oracle Solaris-11 Installation and configuration

Sun certified Solaris Administrator SCSA 10        

2. Oracle Solaris-11 Installation and configuration

3. Sun certified Network Administrator SCNA 10

4. Sun certified Security Administrator SCSA 10

5. SUN Certified system Administrator for Sun Cluster 3.2

6. SUN Certified Field & Support Engineer

7. SPARC T5-Based Server Installation Certified Implementation Specialist

Experience:

6 years in technical felid with relevant experience preferred in banking sector.

Skills:

Solaris, Linux, AIX, Shell scripting and Ansible
